Today's image started out as a rather plain, ordinary picture of a glass of water full of ice as you can see from the original image below. I was spurred on by the challenge of attempting to see if I could do anything with this plain photo. I had no idea of what the outcome might be and even wondered if I was just wasting my time. After playing with cropping, curves, saturation, and sharpness in Filterstorm and then moving to PhotoStudio where I played with a variety of effects this is where I ultimately ended up. It is not anywhere close to what I had started with yet I am happy with the end result. Moral of this day's experience is: sometimes the creativity is in the post-processing rather than the image capture.
