Time is ticking...

Lego Man Joe and I are spending a lot of time together during my recuperation period.  Today's image is sort of a reflection on the past week.  Each day, each hour, each minute that passes brings me closer to recovering from a major surgery.  At times it certainly seems like time is moving way to slow in the process.  Yet as I look back on the progress made in just a week, I certainly am happy and look forward to continued progress even though the clock seems to move way to slow at times.  All the while time is ticking...

Having an off day?

Due to my surgery recovery period, Lego Man Joe and I have been spending more than the usual time together.  That way I get many photo opps without having to go far--easy for keeping up the demands of posting one image every day.  Today's image is a reflection of just how I feel during this recovery period--I am off my game and not quite back yet.  Patience!  Today Lego Man Joe is off his game a bit too...and still trying to figure out why.  Although my head does not throb like Joe's, the recent surgery trauma does take awhile to overcome.  And it takes longer to recover as the years go by.  Are you having an off day?  I am and it's okay....

Back to school

This week is back to school week for the neighborhood kids.  Lego Man Joe found some pencils and commemorates this annual event along with the neighborhood kids...

A little abdominal alteration

I found Lego Man Joe under the sewing machine needle this morning getting a little abdominal alteration.  I still am not quite sure whether it was just the tear in his pants or some kind of sympathy action after my recent abdominal incision.

Checked in

All checked in, got my bracelets, paid my deductibles, signed my paperwork, and anxious to get on with it.  I can hardly wait for modern medicine to "fix me up" and change my life (hmmmm, that covers it both ways, right?).  I'm looking for the positive changes and a future with no more of the pain that has afflicted me.  Break out the scalpels.....

Looking for bridge trolls

I am searching under the bridge.  Searching for those elusive bridge trolls.  I don't see any.  Maybe I need to come back after dark.  Or maybe I need to find a bridge in Hollywood to look under....  Good thing there are no trolls here.  My grandkids are playing in the creek.

Keep an eye on those kids

Rainy afternoon, seven grandkids cooped up in the house bored out of their minds.  I know, let's take them to the "jumpy toys!"  Off we go to the warehouse full of inflatable play toys.  Only problem with this diversion lasting hours is that the toys have a weight limit of 150 pounds.  Hey, what about us big kids?

Dust stencil

You might think I should dust my furniture more often.  However, I have been working on a new art project so there is a clear reason that this furniture piece avoided the dust cloth for so long.  Just think of the possibilities...  With a little more practice I could develop some real fine art work here while at the same time reducing the household chore burden.  Stay tuned....

Homeless

This singular dried up leaf is lost, alone, dehydrated and moving with the wind.  Even the gentle breeze carries it along the ground, never staying long in the same place.  A homeless leaf...
